The Simple Six

We all look for ways to simplify our exercise routines. This book “The Simple Six: The Easy Way to Get in Shape and Stay in Shape for the Rest of your Life” from Clinton Dobbins book nails a very simplistic solution to keeping your muscles toned. See my book highlights for more details to see if you want to give it a read.

In the spirit of simplicity I took the liberty of reformatting the routine outlined in the book to show a one page plan below. See obviously if you don’t have a chin-up bar you can substitute for something else. All images are sourced from the book, credit is due there.

The gist is that you do a concentration exercise one day a week highlighted below in yellow. The rest of the days you do a light workout of those exercises. Note the bottom, you can do any kind of cardio every day or alternate days.

I did this for several weeks and found it an easy routine to follow, even when traveling.
